Who Is Harman Singha? A Simple Answer

Harman Singha is a man of many hats, and he has worn almost all of them. He has been an assistant on film sets, a writer, a travel show host, a creative director, an actor and now a reality show contestant.

Here is the funny part. He never planned to be an actor. In an interview, he said his family had two main career paths: join the Army or become a farmer. So when he chose entertainment, he became what he jokingly called the black sheep of the family.

Today, he is best known for playing young Dharmendra in a Karan Johar film, playing Dhruv in Potluck, and being exposed as a Traitor in The Traitors India season 2.

Harman Singha Age: How Old Is He In 2026?

Harman was born on 5 April 1988 in Jalandhar, Punjab. That makes Harman Singha age 38 years as of 27 October 2026.

Many older articles still say he is 35, because they were written in 2022 or 2023 and never updated.

Harman Singha Height: How Tall Is He?

Public profile pages list Harman Singha height at about 6 feet, which is around 183 to 184 cm. His weight is often given as around 75 kg.

Is that exact? Probably not. Height numbers for celebrities are usually rounded, and no official measurement has been shared by the actor himself. So think of 6 feet as a safe estimate, not a lab result.

His screen presence likely helped when casting people spotted his resemblance to a young Dharmendra.

An Army Family Story: The Harman Singha Family Man Angle

When people search for Harman Singha Family Man, they are usually curious about one thing: what kind of home did he come from, and is he close to his people? The short answer is yes, and the family is a big part of his story.

Harman comes from a Punjabi Sikh family with deep Army roots. Reports say several generations have served in the Indian Army. His father, Iqbal Singh Singha, retired as a Lieutenant General. His mother, Baljeet Kaur, comes from an Army background too.

Public profiles say Harman changed around seven schools and later finished his schooling at Army Public School, Pune.

Why The Harman Singha Family Man Label Fits

Whenever Harman talks about his parents, he sounds grateful, not dramatic. He has said they never put limits on what he and his brother could try, and he calls them “rockstars”. That is the heart of the Harman Family Man image: he simply keeps crediting his people whenever he talks about his wins.

Harman Singha Brother: The Rannvijay Singha Connection

The Harman Singha Brother question is one of the most searched topics for a reason. His elder brother is Rannvijay Singha, the VJ, actor and host many of us grew up watching on MTV Roadies.

Here is how Harman describes him: like a third parent who has held his hand since the day he was born. That is a lovely line, and it tells you a lot about their bond.

How Rannvijay Shaped His Path

Rannvijay was the first person in the family to break away from the Army tradition and enter media. Harman has said that watching his brother gave him the courage to try the same. At first he stayed behind the camera, writing and assisting, because that felt safer.

He has also said that when he told people he was Rannvijay’s brother, they smiled. A smile gets you a conversation, though. Harman still had to prove himself, and he did it by working hard in different roles.

The Funny Twist On The Traitors

On The Traitors, the Harman Brother connection came up again. After leaving the show, Harman said his brother would have faced the same fate as Munawar Faruqui. He compared it to an opening batsman who hits a century in 30 balls, after which every bowler and fielder gets scared.

He also said that before the show, the two brothers had a chat and agreed they would be targeted early, whether innocent or a Traitor. And he admitted he wished he had learned more from Rannvijay, who is very experienced in reality shows.

From Ship To Set: How Harman Singha Changed Careers

Let us talk about the most interesting twist in this story. Harman started as a Merchant Navy cadet.

He imagined a life of travel and adventure at sea. Instead, he found it repetitive. His ship’s captain noticed this and told him something simple but powerful: if there is anything else you want to do in life, now is the time to try it.

So he did. He moved to Mumbai, worked behind the scenes on reality television, rose to an associate creative director role, and assisted filmmakers Nagesh Kukunoor and Abbas Tyrewala, who taught him discipline and helped him find his flair for writing.

He has said writing has always been his main love. His dream is to write, produce and act. That is rare. Most people pick one lane. Harman is building a whole highway.

Harman Singha Web Series: Where Fans Know Him Best

Many fans first noticed him online, so let us give the Harman Web Series chapter its own space.

A.I.SHA: My Virtual Girlfriend (2016)

This was the web series where Harman got the lead role. The story is about a man and an artificial intelligence assistant who becomes a kind of girlfriend. In 2016, that idea was fresh, and the first season reportedly picked up several awards. For Harman, it was proof that audiences were ready to see him at the centre of a story.

Potluck (2021 and 2023)

If A.I.SHA was his lead debut, Potluck was his comfort zone. He played Dhruv, a young man in a warm, funny, family-filled setting. He told reporters it was the best thing that had happened in his career so far, and he liked that the show had no foul language, murder or violence. In a world full of crime thrillers, that was a breath of fresh air.

Avrodh: The Siege Within (2020)

Here Harman sits on the other side of the camera. He is credited as a writer on this SonyLIV series. It is a good reminder that his talent is not limited to acting.

Playing Young Dharmendra: His Big Screen Moment

In 2023, Harman made his big screen debut in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, directed by Karan Johar. He played the young version of Dharmendra.

The backstory is delightful. The team had been searching for a young Dharmendra for a while. The casting director, Shanu Sharma, felt that Harman looked a lot like the veteran star.

The screen time was short, but it got noticed. For a first film, that is a great result. It also proves a simple rule of showbiz: you do not need a huge role to leave a mark. You need a role that people remember.

Now for the part everyone is talking about. In August 2026, Karan Johar returned as host for The Traitors India season 2 on Prime Video. The season premiered on 13 August 2026 and brought 21 contestants into the game. Harman was one of them, and he also shared the screen with his famous brother’s reputation without his brother being there.
