Early Life, Family Background
Tiger Shroff (Jai Hemant) is 36 years old and was born on 2 March 1990 into a Gujarati and Turkmen family. He is the son of Jackie Shroff, one of the most loved leading male actors of the Bollywood era of the 1980s and 1990s, and his wife, Ayesha Shroff (née Dutt), a film producer and former actress.
His father has acted in over 200 films since his breakthrough in Subhash Ghai’s Hero (1983). His mother, Ayesha Shroff, is a producer and former actress who married Jackie in 1987 and later managed the family’s production interests.
Tiger completed his schooling at the American School of Bombay in Mumbai. Later, he enrolled at Amity University for his higher education. However, while studying at the university, he was offered his debut film, Heropanti. So, he decided to drop out and pursue his acting career.

In 2012, while studying in college, Tiger Shroff was signed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala to make his film debut in Sabbir Khan’s action-romantic comedy Heropanti. In 2014, he made his acting debut with the commercially successful action-romance film Heropanti. His performance earned him the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Male.
Later, in 2016, he portrayed Ranveer “Ronny” Singh in Nadiadwala and Sabbir Khan’s Baaghi. In the same year, he also played a martial arts teacher who gains superpowers in Remo D’Souza’s superhero film A Flying Jatt, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez.
