Udaariyaan: The Big Break
Udaariyaan is a Hindi family drama that began on Colors TV on 15 March 2021. Samarth Jurel played Nikhil Kapoor, the younger son of Shamsher and Rama. The show also starred Isha Malviya and Abhishek Kumar, and that cast mix later became the spark for a lot of real-life drama.
Many profiles call Udaariyaan his TV debut, but databases show earlier small parts like Anupamaa in 2021. Our take: it was his first major role, not his first screen appearance.
Maitree: The Romantic Lead Years
In 2023, Zee TV added him to Maitree as Harsh Tiwari, opposite Shrenu Parikh. This came after the show’s six-year leap, when the story needed a fresh face in Maitree’s life. Nandini, played by Bhaweeka Chaudhary, was busy making Maitree’s life difficult, and Harsh walked in as the calm, steady guy.
Maitree gave Samarth Jurel a long run and a bigger fan base. It is the show that proved he could carry an emotional storyline.
Splitsvilla 14: A Short Stop
He appeared as a wildcard on MTV Splitsvilla 14, then reportedly said the show was not right for him and that he would rather be on Bigg Boss. Honest, and a smart bet.
Bigg Boss 17: The Wildcard Moment
On 28 October 2023, Bigg Boss introduced him to the house as “Isha Malviya’s current boyfriend.” The house went silent, and the internet went loud.
Laughter Chefs: The Funny Side
Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment has been running since 2024, and his appearances continue into 2026. One special episode, “When Laughter Chefs Meets Splitsvilla,” aired on 18 January 2026 and featured many reality stars, including Isha Malviya, Abhishek Kumar and Samarth Jurel.
Reports in March and April 2026 said he might join The Traitors India Season 2, hosted by Karan Johar. That is only a rumour.
Changez: The New Look
Changez is described as an action thriller in which he plays a rugged Rajasthani gangster, a big shift from his soft-hearted TV roles. IMDb lists it as being in post-production. A release date is not confirmed.
